Bunnies come and go in our lives, but they always leave a mark on our hearts. We carry the memory of these special bunnies as we continue our efforts to find happy, loving homes for all neglected and abandoned rabbits waiting to fill a special place in your heart.
If you’ve lost a special rabbit, remember that they’re just across the Rainbow Bridge.
Murphy
Our beloved Murphy died on Friday, November 5. Charming and gregarious, Murphy was truly an ambassador for Heartland, meeting and greeting every human as a friend. Murphy didn’t reach his second birthday, but he lived every moment of his life in joy and anticipation. We loved him, and mourn his departure from our lives.
In October we were able to purchase a cart for Murphy. Sadly, he did not have a chance to use it. We extend a warm thank you to all who donated freely to help us get Murphy his “wheels” – his friends at the Festival of the Pet, Jackie Koger, Dan and Candi Boone, and Ralph and Jeanette Doty.
Heartland has established a memorial fund in Murphy’s name to provide on-going medical care for others, like Murphy, whose fragile health prevent them from being on our adoption list. Please help us by donating to this fund. And share his story with your friends.
