Hello Friends, It has been ages since I’ve written a Snippets. I do apologize but things have been so busy around the warrens lately, and what with the all the work on the new website, I have been swamped. I’ve barely had time to visit the bunny beauty parlor. Without further delay, let me share all the fall happenings around Heartland in this special edition of Spooky Snippets.
Newt has been working hard on construction of the haunted house; she traipses around the South Warren daring the other bunnies to go in. A few brave buns have taken her up on it. P. J. wandered through and yawned; she said it wasn’t scary at all. Archie was also unimpressed. He said there wasn’t nearly enough monsters to suit him. Leo ran out fast and thumped his feet in disapproval, Griswold refused to step one paw inside, and Rupert stated in a superior voice, “This is poppycock!”, and hopped off to nap.
Tinkerbell is excited about her harlequin costume.
Ginger and McGruder are going as matching carrots and are hoping no Zombie bunnies attempt to nibble their costumes.
Jimbo is going as Rhett Butler, and asked the lovely Audrey to go as his Scarlett. She declined and is planning to dress up as Rosie The Riveter.
Fonzie is going as Bunnicula, and keeps sneaking up behind Maggie and whispering “I vant to suck your blood.” Mags is not amused by his antics.
Nikki Blue is planning a big Halloween bash on his row in the warren. He has been decorating all week, and has games like Hopping For Apples and Pin The Tail On The Human all planned out. Refreshments will be served, but he is also telling every bun to “BYT”, which stands for “bring your own treats”. There will be a cover charge of one parsley bunch per bunny.
Oliver, Casper, Andy, Palmer, and Conrad (The Lopster brothers) were hatching plans to soap the windows of the warrens and toilet paper Simon and Arthur’s house. Their plans were discovered by Winston (he always has his ear to the ground), and now the boys are all grounded until Christmas.
All the bunnies are going to be closely supervised. Several plots to play tricks have been uncovered.
All the bunnies at Heartland are doing well and excited about the coming cooler weather. The equine folk and The Quacks are still at odds but also doing great.
I hope all our readers and their fur friends are well. Enjoy the new website and have a safe and Happy Halloween.
That is all for this edition of Snippets by Sadie. I will see you next time and don’t forget to hug your bunny today.
