Adopting
Thank you for your
interest in this most wonderful of life's companion animals!
Please Note:
We only adopt within the state of Oklahoma.
Our adoption process is set up to help ensure that we find permanent
loving homes for each rabbit. The steps are:
- Step 1
- Download the pre-adoption questionnaire and either email or snail
mail it to us. The questionnaire helps us to know more about you,
and also highlights possible 'trouble spots', most of which are usually
easily resolved ahead of time.
- Step 2
- Our Director, Jeannie Patterson, will call you to answer any questions
you may have, and to arrange a time for you to come and visit the
Rescue, which is located just outside Blanchard, Oklahoma. This will
be a time for you to visit with the rabbits, and find the special
one who likes you as much as you like him or her. This usually takes
a couple of hours. (We shelter far more than are currently on our
website!)
- Step 3
- Once you and that special bun have made a decision, Jeannie will
arrange a time for her to bring the rabbit to your home. Once there,
she will ensure that you are both happy with your decision, answer
any questions you have, and you will fill out the adoption papers
and pay the fee of $55. (We adopt out only spayed or neutered rabbits.
The adoption fee helps us cover the costs of this.)
